I’m gonna be honest for a sec. I’m not sure how many people out there can relate to this, but it’s definitely a situation that’s bitter sweet.
We’re about 2 months out from LIFE; all the fundraisers have been happening, kids are getting PUMPED, we’ve been booking planes, trains, and automobiles to get to Orlando and all the sudden a student who didn’t want to go in September now wants to go…
One part of us jumps for joy b/c that student wants to go and we understand that God has a plan for them to be there. Another part cringes b/c we’ve already made all these plans, booked all the hotels and transportation…and now we’ve got to try to squeeze another student in. And honestly, we sit and wonder why the heck they didn’t sign-up on time and start to get frustrated and wonder if it’s worth all the hassle to get them to go.
Maybe I’m the only one who feels that way…maybe not. After the initial frustration settles down, the Holy Spirit usually seems to open my eyes and heart to view that student like He does….precious and important. Praise God for moments of realization right?! It makes me wonder how often my actions should frustrate God, yet He shows me grace…
So with that in mind, if one of our students frustrates us by asking if he/she can still go…remember that God has a wonderful plan for them. I’ve found out by experience that registration is still open…so keep signing up your students:)

Hey everybody, I’m sure you’re as excited to see December 1st come around as I am. It’s REGISTRATION DAY!!!!!! This is one of those days that makes this trip really seem like it’s gonna happen.
Like when my wife was pregnant it wasn’t totally real to me until I heard that heartbeat for the first time. That was a wake-up call that I was gonna be a dad in a couple months.
Registration days makes me feel like that too. It’s my wake-up call that we’re actually going to be in Orlando in about seven months! AAAHHHHH! This is really happening!
Oh yeah, as soon as I find out who the first five groups to register were, I’ll let you guys know so we can try to convince them to give us some of their hard-earned, free t-shirts.

those were some great ideas for promoting LIFE! if you are checking this for the 1st time…go back to our last post and check out some of the ideas that some folks around the country.
also…if you haven’t gotten it in the mail yet, you’ll be getting a nifty thrifty reminder about registration. we’ll have an upcoming post soon about how to register. and remember…1st 5 groups to register their complete groups online December 1st win special LIFE ‘07 t-shirts!!
