at life 2004 we had journey boy. he was amazing. his transformation from boy to man was so inspirational to my students that one of them actually went home and changed his Xbox gamertag to “journeyboy”.

ok…i’ll be honest again.
i got really excited today when i looked into my inbox at my office and saw a package. i always like soft packages b/c i know it’s not some book or promo material from a college or ministry that wants my group to come.
i looked at the sender, the CMA, and got worried for a sec. is this about my ordination?! my excitement turned to worry…then i opened the package…
IT WAS A PROJECT 132 DVD AND T-SHIRT!!!!! how awesome is that? every church who is going to LIFE 2007 gets the kit. i just watched the DVD…there are some REALLY WELL DONE promo clips for our youth groups about ways to help out with Project 132 and get involved.
and i love what matt peace says at the end of the note inside, “please help us by making our project your project”. this is gonna be sooooo awesome~~
join our facebook group and post on the board what you guys are bringing to Project 132. (you’ll love what i’m bringing;))

hey everyone,
i hope and pray all your promoing is going well. i loved a lot of the ideas you had. using testimonies, the DVD spots, keep those awesome ideas coming for those who will read this later.
to morph the great words of Uncle Ben in Spiderman…”with great promo comes great responsibility”. one of the easiest things to do is promote an event and then expect that people will just know exactly what the next steps are to sign-up. i wish it were that easy. i find for myself, i’ve got to get on that cell phone and start calling kids and parents like it’s nobody’s business. it’s follow thru on the promos that makes it happen. what are some of the things you have done (or are planning to do) to follow-up with your students and parents
remember, the more ideas the better.

those were some great ideas for promoting LIFE! if you are checking this for the 1st time…go back to our last post and check out some of the ideas that some folks around the country.

ok…so thanks to everyone commenting on our welcome post ~ we won’t be posting all the comments, but we’ll definitely be reading them all and posting often to update you on what’s going on. but without a doubt…the most pressing of issues for now is PROMO!!!!
i know for most of you around the country, your students have already gone back to school and you’ve had your kick-off’s for your student ministry ~ up here in new jersey though, we just went back to school TODAY so we have our big kick-off this sunday. if you haven’t yet, this is a great time to start showing off that sweet DVD you got in the mail earlier this summer. it’s got some good 2:20 promo’s you can show to your students to get the buzz going, and then show again to the parents in church to keep the buzz going.
i’d love to hear how some of you out there have been PROMOing LIFE ~ drop some comments and we’ll make sure to put them up for those of you who haven’t started PROMOing yet. keep commenting and checking back for more awesome ideas ~
